Staff Report

Lest one believe that summer fun is nearing an end as July rolls along, The Catholic Telegraph’s 2014 Festival Guide includes 40 more festivals between now and the end of September.

Each weekend brings its own batch of unique and exciting parish festivals.

This weekend alone (July 18-20), Immaculate Conception in Celina has a cornhole tournament as part of its festival. Oakley’s St. Cecilia has something called “Hamburger Heaven” and a Sunday petting zoo. Mary Help of Christians in Fairborn includes a “Margaritaville” at its festival. And that’s just three of the six festivals you could choose to visit.

With countless food items, fun games and rides, fellowship and the opportunity to financially support Catholic parishes with a fun night out, attending a parish festival is a great way to spend the weekend.
