Part 2 of a 4-part series of talks on Cincinnati’s Catholic History by Father Davide Endres, dean of the Athenaeum of Ohio and a columnist for “The Catholic Telegraph,” will focus on 19thcentury immigrants (1840-1883). The multimedia presentations will explore how German and Irish immigrants transformed the city’s history through a network of churches, schools, and charities and look toward the archdiocese’s bicentennial. The Dayton Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites invites all to join them for the feast day of one of the greatest Carmelite saints, St. Therese of Lisieux. The Mass follows a nightly novena at the church (7-8 p.m. from Sept. 22-30 in the Adoration Chapel) also open to all. "Come every night or even just one night for a powerful experience in prayer," the Community says.
