Wednesday, September 2, 2009 ARCHDIOCESE — Cincinnati businessman and philanthropist William J. Williams died Aug. 23. He was 93. The former chairman and chief executive officer of Western & Southern Financial Group, Williams supported Catholic institutions, including the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009 KATMANDU, Nepal — Jesuit Father James J. Donnelly, who served in Nepal for nearly 50 years, died in Katmandu Aug. 17. The Cincinnati native, who had dedicated his life to education in his adopted homeland, was 80 and suffering from various ailments.
