CATHEDRAL DEANERY — Cookie lovers on both sides of the river had fun with the Cookie War waged between Local 12 meteorologist Tim Hedricks and anchor Kit Andrews. Busken bakeries baked special cookies using recipes provided by the two, and buyers voted on their favorite cookie through their purchases.

Catholic Inner-city Schools Education Fund (CISE) in Cincinnati and The Alliance for Catholic Urban Education (ACUE) in Covington benefited from the sale.

More than 20,000 cookies sold, with Andrews’ recipe winning by just 51 votes.

CISE and ACUE were presented with a check for $16,220, with the proceeds to provide tuition assistance.
