Catholic Charities of SW Ohio, an agency of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, is collecting donations for the disaster relief efforts of Catholic Charities USA in response to the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy in the northeast.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Magdalen Hutmacher was celebrated Oct. 24 at Salem Heights in Dayton. Sister Magdalen, 92, died Oct. 19 at the Maria Joseph Center in Dayton. She was a Sister of the Precious Blood for 68 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dominican Sister of Hope Mary Rose Wittekind was celebrated Sept. 20 at All Saints Parish in Cincinnati. Sister Mary Rose, 79, died Sept. 9 in New York City.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marianist Brother Joseph Spehar was celebrated Sept. 22 at Queen of Apostles Chapel in Dayton. Brother Joseph, 85, died Sept. 10. He had been a Marianist for 68 years.
