St. Mary Parish in Dayton celebrates a milestone: In what could have been a scene from 50 years ago — when parishioners filled St. Mary Church for as many as five Masses each Sunday — a crowd of 900 filled the iconic Dayton church Aug. 16 to celebrate the parish’s 150th anniversary. They marked the event with a special 90-minute Mass celebrated by Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk, as well as a parish festival.
