A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Mercy Mary Annice Quinter was celebrated Feb. 7 at St. Clare Church in Cincinnati. Sister Mary Annice, 75, died Jan. 31 at McAuley Convent. She was a Sister of Mercy for 57 years.

A native of Burkettsville, Ohio, Sister Mary Annice earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Our Lady of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in education from Xavier University. She ministered as a teacher and principal in Ohio at St. Mary in Picqua; St. Mary in Springfield; and St. Mary in Urbana. She went on to serve as a chaplain at Mercy Medical Center and Mercy St. John’s Center in Springfield.

Sister Mary Annice is survived by her sister, Erma Hagan, and brothers, Ralph and Vernon. Interment was in St. Joseph (New) Cemetery.
