A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Notre Dame de Namur Sheila Marie ­O’Connell was celebrated July 20 at the Mount Note Dame convent chapel. Sister Sheila Marie, 92, died July 16 at Mount Notre Dame Health Center.

 
A native of Dayton, Sister Sheila Marie was a teacher, school administrator and hospital chaplain. Her educational ministry including assignments at Sts. Peter and Paul and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart schools in Reading; the former St. Paul School in Cincinnati; the former St. Veronica School in Hamilton; and Holy Family School in Dayton. Sister Sheila Marie was as a pastoral assistant at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield; a chaplain at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton; and a student advisor at the University of Dayton.
 
Sister Sheila Marie is survived by her sisters, Janet Summers of Dayton and Carol O’Connell of Miamisburg, and a brother, Tom, also of Miamisburg. Interment was in the convent cemetery.
