DAYTON DEANERY — The Sisters of the Precious Blood invite single women 18-35 to be part of a Summer Ministry Week in Appalachia July 9-14. Participants will work with the sisters in a variety of projects at St. Joseph the Worker Mission in Elkhorn City, in the mountains of Kentucky near Virginia.

Projects may include grounds work, repairs, helping with the mission’s thrift shop, and just being a friendly, warm presence to people alone or in need. Time for socializing, shared prayer included. Spanish-language skills a plus. Program is limited to 10 participants so early registration is encouraged. Deadline to sign up is July 1. Part-time participants are welcome. Participants must provide own transportation. For more information, contact Sister Carolyn Hoying at 937-231-1244, or e-mail: [email protected].
