CATHEDRAL DEANERY — St. Monica-St. George Parish will host Jamaican Jam-Reggae with a Cause on Saturday, May 8, to promote awareness of plight the Jamaican people.

The parish has been in a twinning relationship with St. Joseph Parish in Savannah La Mar, Jamaica, since 2004, partnering with that community to improve the quality of life in their missions. Featured at the event will be The Ark Band, native to Jamaica. The band also performed at last year’s Jamaican Jam, and is pleased to be part of something that gives back to their country. Several hundred people are expected to attend.

The event will take place in the St. Monica-St. George Parish parking lot, 328 W. McMillan St., from 8 p.m.–midnight. Proceeds will benefit St. Joseph Parish and its missions. For more information, call 513-405-7688.
