DESCRIPTION:“The Storm that Built Music Hall” concert.\, Nov. 4 and 5. As one of a series of concerts for the re-opening of Music Hall after it’s 18-month renovation\, the May Festival Chorus will present Bach’s “Magnificat” and Brahms’s Revelations-inspired “Triumphlied\,” as well as the world premiere of a new choral work by Julia Adolphe.  The first two pieces come from the May Festival’s 1875 season at Exposition Hall\, and a performance ruined by a thunderstorm that inspired the building of a new concert venue — Music Hall.  See link for ticket prices.

DESCRIPTION:Father Stephen Imbarrato of Priests for Life will be the guest speaker. \nA priest of the Diocese of Sante Fe\, Father Imbarrato is a well-known speaker and pro-life activist. Involved in procuring a girlfriend’s abortion as a young man\, he was an activist and speaker with Lifenet of New Jersey before entering the seminary. As a seminarian\, he founded  St. Gerard’s Center for Life in Hartford\, CT\, and was national coordinator for Seminarians for Life. While a deacon\, he was the first man to offer testimony for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. Since his ordination\, Father Imparrato founded Project Defending Life and many of its associated ministries\, including the Holy Innocents Chapel\, which holds Mass and a Eucharistic procession to a Planned Parenthood abortion business twice a week. The founder of ProtestAbq\, he has worked full-time for Priests for Life since 2015. The Chorale and Schola will perform works centered on the texts of the Eastern Rite funeral liturgy\, including pieces by John Tavener and Alexander Archangelsky\, as well as Russian Orthodox chant.
