DESCRIPTION:For High School Students who have taken Theology of the Body. Kenosis is the Greek word for “self-emptying\,” which John Paul II relates to “self-gift.” Since we cannot give what we do not have\, “kenosis” reminds us that we must receive everything from God if we are to give a fruitful gift of self. Kenosis forms and educates young Catholic leaders into missionary disciples through the transforming power of Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit. This is the heart of the New Evangelization where confident and energized high school students learn to meet their peers where they are and invite them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.
