DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, April 12\nOrgan Recital • 6:30 p.m.\nDr. John Deaver\nAdjunct Assistant Professor of Organ\,\nUniversity of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music \nEastertide Mass • 7 p.m.\nAthenaeum Chorale\nMount St. Mary’s Latin Schola\nWidor: Mass for Two Choirs and Two Organs\, Op. 36 \nOn April 12\, 2026\, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology will celebrate a Choral Mass at 7 p.m.\, preceded by an organ recital at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great. The Athenaeum Chorale and Mount St. Mary’s Latin Schola will together present the French nineteenth century composer Charles-Marie Widor’s triumphant Mass for Two Choirs and Two Organs\, originally composed for the Church and Seminary choirs of the Church of St-Sulpice in Paris. The organ recital before Mass will be performed by John Deaver\, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Organ at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington\, Kentucky\, who will present excerpts from Widor’s monumental Symphonie Romane.
