DESCRIPTION:Author and speaker Joseph Pearce will speak on “The Catholic Literary Revival” at the annual IHM Homeschooling conference in Dayton. Presentations are free and open to the public; you do not have to be a parent or homeschooler to attend. In this talk Pearce will discuss how 300 years of persecution against the Catholic Church in England ended with an early 20th-centural revival of the Catholic intellectual tradition that included literary masters Hopkins\, Chesterton\, Belloc\, Waugh\, Tolkien\, and many others.
