Ever clicked through to a YouTube video and suddenly found yourself 50 minutes and 10 more videos later having lost an hour of your life to cat videos? Yeah, we’ve all been there. Here are some videos that won’t waste your time when you’re perusing the Internet’s largest source of video content.

Two quick notes:
1) You can also find these videos via Google or another web search engine.
2) Directing you to these videos is in no way, shape, or form intended to promote or endorse in any way the organization that produced the video nor any of its views, ideals, beliefs, political stances, religious affiliations, etc.

How Wolves Change Rivers

This video explains a process called trophic cascades by telling the story of what happened when wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in 1995.

It reminded me of John 15:2, “He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.”

With God, nothing happens by accident. Even nature. This video illustrates that magnificently.

This video is simple: It’s the Gospel message. God made us and loves us. We sinned and separated ourselves from God. God sent His son Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and reunite us with God. If we choose to follow Jesus, we will be united with God.

But it’s the Gospel message packaged in a way you’ve never seen before. My only quarrel would be that the narration is spoken as if it were God speaking, but it’s not quoting scripture. That’s kind of like putting words in God’s mouth, but there is nothing heretical or off about the script, so I’ll allow it.

My Philosophy for a Happy Life by Sam Berns

Be prepared for some tears during this one. God is truth. Jesus said it Himself. So wherever you find truth, you find God. But sometimes, you have to find God in the truth, and that’s the case with this video.

I don’t want to spoil things too much for you so I’ll just say this: The video is powerful and inspiring, and it’s got some good, solid wisdom to help you live a better life.

Watch the video, be inspired, gain wisdom, and find God in the truths on which the video is built. It’s better than the most recent cat video.

Alright everyone! Enjoy the videos, try not to procrastinate too much and always keep an eye out for the fun and curious side of the wonderful world God has given us!
