The Caladrian Ensemble Concert at Old St. Mary’s
The Caladrian Ensemble presents Jennifer Roig-Francoli on baroque violin. Called “sweet-toned and mercurial” by the New York Times, and known for her work with Apollo’s Fire and other period ensembles, she will play works that span the transition from the Baroque to the Classical periods. Music by Bach, Haydn, Rust and others. A Cincinnati Early Music Series event; Tickets $10 general admission; $7 seniors.

Bockfest German Mass

Tenebrae at Old St. Mary’s
The Ancient Office of Tenebrae will be sung by the Latin Choir at Old St. Mary's Church in Over-the-Rhine. This sung service features readings and hymns. Candles are gradually extinguished until the church is in darkness ("tenebrae" means "shadows"). The solemn service recalls the Passion of Christ.

Bockfest Fish Fry at Old St. Mary’s (Over-the-Rhine)
6th annual fish fry on the night of the Cincinnati Bockfest Parade, an irreverent salute to the city's German and brewing heritage and the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Old St. Mary's, the only church in the country that offers a weekly German Mass, borders the route. Enjoy a sandwich meal before, during, or after the parade (until the food runs out - end time approximate) in the church parking lot, or order to go.
