Days of Prayer and Mercy to be held at Holy Spirit Center

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the two Days of Prayer and Mercy sponsored by Our Lady of Light Ministries at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center (5540 Moeller Ave., Norwood).

On Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, there will be prayers and programs to honor the Blessed Mother and Jesus her Son. Speakers will provide information about approved visions of the Blessed Mother over the years. There will also be opportunities for prayer, both private and communal, rosary, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the sacrament of reconciliation and Mass. Following Mass at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 31, there will be presentation on Fatima, followed by the rosary and a prayer vigil on the front lawn ending at midnight. A box lunch and a light supper will be available. Suggestion donation is $10 each.

 

Many tri-state area ministries will also be represented with displays and information and tours of the historic center building, memorial prayer gardens and reliquary will be offered. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. A bus tour will leave the center at 8:30 a.m. for Mass at Our Lady’s Farm in Falmouth, Ky. (call 513-531-6279 for more information and reservations by Aug. 18. Lunch included). Msgr. Frank Lane, spiritual director at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, will close the weekend activities on with a special presentation at 3:15 p.m., followed by Benediction.
