Staff Report

Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr ordained three men as priests of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Saturday, May 16 at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains, in downtown Cincinnati.

A standing-room only crowd was on hand to witness the ordination of Father Ethan Moore, Father Adrian Hilton and Father Eric Wood.

As is local tradition, the priests first assignments were announced at the conclusion of the Mass. Two of the priests have been assigned to pastoral regions, while one was assigned to an oratory.

Father Moore has been assigned parochial vicar of St. Peter Parish Huber Heights, Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Dayton and Holy Cross parish in Dayton.

Father Wood was named parochial vicar of St. Francis de Sales in Lebanon and St. Phillip the Apostle in Morrow.

Father Hilton was named parochial vicar of Old St. Mary’s parish in Cincinnati, which is adjacent to the Oratory of St. Phillip Neri where he resides.

Parochial vicar is a term roughly interchangeable with that of assistant or associate pastor.
