Wednesday, December 2, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Marianist Brother Don Fahrig  was celebrated Nov. 28 at Queen of Apostles Chapel at Mount Saint John in Dayton. Brother Don, 83, died Nov. 22 in Dayton. He had been a Marianist for 58 years.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Ann Reimund was celebrated Nov. 27 in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at the congregation’s Delhi Township motherhouse. Sister Ann, 60, died Nov. 19 at Mother Margaret Hall.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Glenmary Father John Otterbacher was celebrated Dec. 2 at St. Matthias Church in Forest Park. Father Otterbacher, 81, died Nov. 23 at the Glenmary residence in Cincinnati. He was a Glenmary Home Missioner for 57 years.

Friday, November 20, 2009 Father Edward P. McCarthy, C.PP.S., 94, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, at St. Charles Center in Carthagena. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at St. Charles Center. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry is handling the arrangements.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity Mary Lydon was celebrated Oct. 30 in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at the congregation’s Delhi Township motherhouse. Sister Mary, 84, died Oct. 26, at Mother Margaret Hall.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Franciscan Sister of the Poor Joanna Burkhart was celebrated Nov. 3 in the St. Clare Convent Chapel in Hartwell. Sister Joanna, 88, died Oct. 30 at Mercy Franciscan Terrace.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for Deacon John Taylor was celebrated Nov. 4 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Lebanon. Father Bernard Weldishofer presided.  Deacon Taylor, 76, died Oct. 31.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 A Mass of Christian Burial for longtime archdiocesan employee Elizabeth “Betty” Meder was held Nov. 4 at St. Cecilia Church in Independence, Ky. Meder, 78, died Oct. 31 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood after a brief illness.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009 ARCHDIOCESE — Father Raymond G. Wiemeyer, a priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for 57 years, died Oct. 14 at Hillebrand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cincinnati.  He was 82.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009 PATNA, INDIA — Jesuit Father Anthony J. Grollig, a native of Cincinnati who served in India for nearly 60 years, died at the age of 88 in Patna, India, Oct. 11. A funeral Mass was celebrated there on Oct. 12.
