Keller, Sister Dolores, 89, died at St. Leonard Center on June 23 in Centerville, Ohio. She was born July 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood, Dayton, Ohio, in 1955, receiving the religious name Sister Mary Michelene. For 71 years, she faithfully served God, His people, and the Congregation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Salem Heights Chapel, 4960 Salem Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, on June 30, with burial following in the Maria Anna Brunner Memorial Garden. Visitation begins in Chapel at 9:00 am with Sharing of Memories at 10:00 followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10:30.Sr. Dolores Keller

Sister Dolores was the daughter of Carl and Florence (Hilvert) Keller. Sister Dolores, better known as Sister Dee, served in education for over 30 years as an elementary teacher followed by religious education director in parishes in Ohio and Falls Church, Virginia. Her next ministry was as a Pastoral Associate which drew her to Clinical Pastoral Education and hospital chaplaincy. Dee served at Miami Valley Hospital, Mercy Hospital Fairfield and with Hospice of Cincinnati/Hamilton. When Sister Dee retired, she volunteered at Hospice of Cincinnati, St. Margaret Mary Parish in religious education, adult formation, the mission team and more. In 2014 Sister Dee retired to Salem Heights continuing her ministry of visiting the Sisters in skilled nursing care. In June 2025, Sister Dee moved to St. Leonard Skilled Nursing Care to receive nursing care and have more time for prayer.

Sister Dolores joins her parents and her brother Carl in heaven. She is survived by her Precious Blood Community of Sisters, and by her sister Janet Bohanan, her brother Paul, her niece LeMarie and Ben West, her nephew Bryan and Cynthia Bohanan, and numerous friends.
