Archbishop Robert Casey Threw a Ceremonial First Pitch for the Reds
On Saturday, August 30, Archbishop Robert Casey took to the field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Great American Ballpark ahead of the Reds versus Cardinals game. With a steady arm and big smile, he sent the ball straight into the glove of Fr. Alex McCullough, pastor of Queen of Apostles Parish Family, who joined the archbishop as the catcher for the special moment!
Adding to the joy of the night, hundreds of area Catholics and dozens of Catholic school principals also participated in the evening. Before the game, participants paraded around the field, and principals were honored in a special ceremony recognizing their dedication and commitment to Catholic education.
