Part of the three-day Germanfest Picnic, the Polka Mass begins at 10 a.m. The annual festival includes continuous live music all three days (featuring Alpen Echos, Chardon Polka Band, The Klaberheads, The Sauer Brats and Organgrinder Ted Guillaume), a 5K/10K, vendors, a beer garden, and more.

As part of its Aug. 8-12 Sacred Music Retreat, The Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Cincinnati and its parishes ( Sacred Heart in Camp Washington and Old St. Mary’s in Over the Rhine) will host a Pontifical High Mass in the Extraordinary Form open to all. A Pontifical High Mass is celebrated by a bishop and is the most formal of Latin Masses except for those celebrated by the pope; this one will be celebrated by a visiting bishop at the retreat and sung…

Father John Civille will host the 25th anniversary Holy Family Golf Outing. All levels of golfer welcome; all welcome to dinner following the game. Ticket proceeds from Vince Gill's "Faith and  Hope" concert at Fraze Pavilion will benefit Holy Trinity, one of the three Downtown Dayton parishes. Tickets are $55 in the orchestra and terrace;  $37.50 on the lawn (add $5 each when purchased day of show).
