The archdiocese's cemetery will hold two planning seminars, one at 2 and one at 6 p.m, to help start the conversation about planning your, or your family members', burial plans -- a healthy conversation that gives families peace f mind and frees them of emotional and financial stress. Bishop Joseph R. Binzer will celebrate the annual Rural-Urban Farm Mass at the Franck Farm in St. Henry. Century Farm Awards will be presented to families who have farmed the same land for 100 years or more. Mass on July 19, at 7 PM, held this year at Doug and Sarah Franck’s farm, 5750 Carthagena Road, St. Henry, with Bishop Joseph Binzer.

July 20-22. The Cincinnati Kolping Society will select its "king" at the annual Schutzenfest (marksmen festival). Based on a medieval custom, Society members who participate in the men's shooting group will shoot at a carved wooden eagle mounted high on a pole. The person to shoot it down becomes king for a year. The three-day festival features German food, music, dancing, vendors, games, and the crowning of the King and Queen.
