Charismatic Mass at St. Christopher (Vandalia)
Fathers John Tonkin, Tim Knepper, and Ethan Moore will celebrate a charismatic Mass sponsored by the St. Christopher Women's Prayer Group. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., praise and worship music begins at 6:45. All welcome.

The National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, a statue given to the United States in 1967 and cared for by the World Apostolate of Fatima, will be at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center all day on Sept. 8, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. All invited to the parish's annual Forty Hours devotion -- 40 Hours of continuous Eucharistic Adoration -- beginning at the 1:30 Mass and ending Sunday at the 10 am Mass. Someone must be present at all times while the Blessed Sacrment is "exposed," or made available to see in a decorative holder called a monstrance. Part two of two-part series for engaged couples. When combined with the weekend course, "God's Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage," it fulfills the marriage preparation requirement for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The day-long class teaches life skills to help couples "set patterns of thought and behavior that will ensure a lifelong, joy-filled marriage – including practical virtue-based instruction in communication, conflict resolution and financial decision making." Fee is per couple.

Bishop Joe Binzer will preside at this annual prayer service for the souls of aborted children and for their families held at the cemetery's memorial, a statue of Rachel mourning for her children. Knights of Columbus and the "Gone Fishing" Homebased Community will assist; reception follows. Simultaneous prayer services will be held at memorials and grave sites around the country.
