Lucas Pfander Memorial Race
"Viva la Vida" annual race at Roger Glass Stadium, home of the Chaminade Julienne Eagles. A one-mile race for grade school students begins at 6:30 pm, followed by a two-mile race for high school students and adults. Donations and sale of commemorative t-shirts will benefit the Lucas Pfander Memorial Scholarship.

Dayton's largest German festival runs from August 11-13 at Riverscape MetroPark (new location). The 34th annual festival will feature food, music, a Kidz Zone with games and rides, German vendors, a biergarten and weingarten, a 5K and a 10K run, and more. The annual Polka Mass allows attendees to spend the day (or weekend) at the festival and fulfill their Sunday obligation in a specially festive way.
