Bishop Joe Binzer will celebrate the annual outdoor Mass for Our Lady of Fatima -- and for this year's centennial of her appearances in Portugal. End time approximate; dress for the weather.

Each summer, on a Saturday afternoon, the Church of the Resurrection sponsors an event for parishioners, neighbors, and friends of the parish to gather for fellowship, food, and live jazz music on the front lawn of the parish.  There are events for children and teens in the afternoon, and live jazz in the evening.  Everyone is welcome and lots of hands are needed to make this event a success. Fr. Eric Roush will speak about Mary's Assumption and the book "Champions of the Rosary."  

The Catholic Social Action Office and the One Church of Mercy Committee of representatives from Roman and Maronite rite Catholics in the Archdiocese will host a screening of "Our Last Stand," a documentary about Christians striving to maintain a presence in the Middle East through war and oppression. Following the film will be a panel discussion that will include Maronite Bishop Elias Zaidan of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon in Los Angeles, and the film's producer, Jordan Allot.

"An Evening of Celebration" will include veneration of relics (5:30) accompanied by music on the new organ; Solemn Vespers with the Dominican community and blessing of the new organ (6 pm); solemn placing of all relics in new reliquary and blessing of reliquary accompanied by music on the new organ (6:30). pot luck supper in the gym.
