What: The Tenebrae Service of Shadows When: April 17th at 7:30 p.m. Where: Maria Stein Shrine, 2291 St. John’s Rd., Maria Stein teneThe word ‘tenebrae’ is Latin for shadows. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to recreate the emotional aspects of the passion story and to recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events, and it is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day. The St. Martin District Council of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul Inc. will hold their Run for the Poor 5K run and health walk on Saturday, June 8th.
