St. Philomena Novena Begins at Holy Redeemer (New Bremen)
Nine days of prayers to St. Philomela will culminate in her Feast Day Mass Aug. 11 (see calendar for details). Novena prayers available at the parish and on the parish website.

Aug. 3-5. The third annual celebration of all graduating classes, Fenwick parents, and community will start with an all-class ONE reunion Friday night (benchmark classes this year end with an 8 or a 3) with dinner and dancing to live music; Saturday 5K, pancake breakfast, golf outing, and comedy night; Sunday Mass and brunch. Franciscan Father Daniel Horan, a friar of the Holy Name Province and assistant professor of systematic theology and spirituality at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago will lead "All God's Creatures: Rethinking Franciscan Theology of Creation." The half-day event will explore "the profound resources rooted in the Franciscan theology for a radically innovative theology of of creation." Area Catholic author and speaker Julia Monnin will sign "The World is Noisy, God Whispers," a newly published compilation of her writing, at Believe Art from the Heart gift shop. The Good Shepherd Parish "Earth Shepherds" group, recently honored by Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr, and members of Holy Family Parish in Price Hill, invite all to join them on a hike at the CNC. The park and center includes 65 acres of old-growth forest, and the two-mile hike will be part of the "Share the Journey" campaign for migrants and immigrants (ShareJourney.com).
