July -28-31. Annual ride begins at the University of Notre Dame this year and ends at the University of Dayton.Day one: Notre Dame - Grace College, Iwnona Lake, Indiana. Mass will be celebrated in English and Gaelic at the United Irish of Dayton/Main Stage tent. Volunteers from area parishes and Irish societies will assist. The three-day festival featuring Celtic bands from Ireland and around the country is one of the largest in the United States and is free to attend; food and drink available to purchase on site. July 30-Aug. 3. At this five-day art camp, children ages 6-15 will learn about images of Christ in sacred art history and will learn to make proportioned face drawings, as well as learn traditional drawing and painting techniques. They will paint their own portrait of Christ to take home – after being on display at the Center from Aug. 18-24. Register at the link; fee includes all materials and light snack.

The annual Notre Dame 2 University of Dayton Hausfeld Ride for Life cycling team (see July 28 for event details) will stop to for the night at Holy Redeemer and will attend evening Mass at the parish. After Mass, Dayton Right to Life Executive Director Paul Cordon will present "Facts About Pro-Life," a talk about the pro-life movement and Dayton's involvement in it. A short tQ&A reception with Paul and several of the cyclists will follow.

Not a fundraiser -- witness to life with this ride from UD's campus to North Park/Taylorsville Dam. Fifteen or 3o-mil options. For 30-mile ride to dam and back, check-in is at 11 a.m. For 15-mile ride, check in at noon -- you and your bike will be transported to the dam to meet the rest of the cyclists, and will all cycle back together.
