May 18 and 19. Good Mourning Ministries will present weekend grief support workshop for anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one. While all experience loss in a unique way, healing can be an intentional process, where people gather together as a community of faith to become disciples of hope through prayerful reflection, practical learning, and personal fellowship. No tickets are needed to attend the annual ordination Mass, an ancient liturgy in which the archbishop exercises the authority given to the apostles to make new priests. The cathedral choir will sing. Parking and seating can be a premium; come early for choice of seats. Reception sponsored by the Serra Club follows in the undercroft.

Holy Family, the Latin Mass parish in Dayton, will present at concert of sacred music from composers living at the time of the Battle of Lepanto (1571). This annual blessing at Kil-Kare Speedway, Xenia, is dedicated to all military veterans and raises funds for AMVETS, AMBUCS/GREENEBUCS, and other charities. Some of the funds raised go to purchase trikes for special needschildren and military veterans to give them a sense of mobility and independence ($500-$2000 each, depending on needs). Deacon Greg Cecere and w several other deacons from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will preside.
