DAYTON DEANERY — The seventh annual Family Rosary Rally will be held the University of Dayton Arena on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Auxiliary Bishop Joseph R. Binzer will officiate at the event, which is coordinated by the Knights of Columbus.

The rally will begin with Marian hymns sung by choir members from Dayton Deanery parishes, followed by a procession of Knights, first communicants, the Catholic Order Foresters and a statue of the Blessed Mother. The live rosary follows with individuals from many different nationalities leading a recitation of the glorious mysteries. A homily by Bishop Binzer, Benediction and closing procession will conclude the ceremony.

This year, an altar, newly refurbished by Rob Spaulding, a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering and expert wood craftsman, will be used during the event.

The rally is free and open to the public.
