Nov. 17-19. One of Cincinnati’s largest German societies will hold its annual 19th-annual Christkindlmarkt, “the oldest and most authentic German Christmas Market in the Cincinnati region. Held at the society’s park under enclosed, heated tents, the market features With holiday entertainment all three days, German music, a petting zoo, caroling children’s groups, and carriage rides, as well as an extensive array of imported German items to buy, holiday German food and drink, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus — as well as from St. Nicholas and the Krampus, a scary monster that is a staple of German Christmas tradition.

Saturday night, children can join the traditional Martinmas Lantern Parade led by St. Martin.
