Christmas Saengerfest Begins in OTR

December 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

$30

Dec. 1, 2. St. Francis Seraph church is one of six venues for the annual Saengerfest (Singing Festival), a German tradition revived in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood after Cincinnati hosted the World Choir Games. Choirs from around the region (including Catholic choirs such as the Friendly Sons of St Patrick Glee Club, the Mother of Mercy Vocal Ensemble, and St. Anthony’s (Madisonville), will perform with the Cincinnati BoyChoir, the May Festival Youth Chorus, Kanniks and the Greater Cincinnati Indian Choir, and a variety of youth, church, and adult choirs. Free shuttle buses available between sites. Tickets are $30 each night and include free admission to the downtown Cincinnati “BRICKmas” LEGO exhibit. Hours and venues are the same both nights, but the Friday and Saturday performances are different. Venues also include: Christian Moerlein Malthouse Taproom, Over-the-Rhine Community Church, Memorial Hall, Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, and First Lutheran Church.
