Imagine going to a vending machine and being able to purchase much-needed food, clothing, or baby supplies for a local family in need, and medicine or even a goat for a family in a developing country.

This year, Cincinnati residents will have the chance to do just that. As part of the annual #LightTheWorld campaign, visitors to Kenwood Towne Center can provide an instant act of service by donating at special vending machines called Giving Machines.  With a simple card swipe, individuals can purchase items for people in need both locally and around the world.  One hundred percent of all donations go directly to the participating charities.

Charities participating in the Cincinnati Light the World Giving Machine include:

Local Charities:

  • Catholic Charities of SW Ohio
  • Be Concerned (food pantry in Northern Kentucky)
  • Shelterhouse (homeless shelter)
  • NEST Learning Center

Global Charities:

  • African Girls Hope Foundation
  • American Red Cross
  • CARE

The Light the World Giving Machines, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, started in 2017, has raised more than $22 million for local and global charities. This year’s effort will include 52 locations around the world.

Find our local Giving Machine at Kenwood Towne Center near Macy’s December 14-30!
