First place goes to this photo by Lori Cookson of Miamisburg, who wrote, “My Mary Garden is special to me because my mother-in-law loved Mary and brought these buttercups to me 30 years ago from her home in Rhode Island. They are plentiful now and Mary sits among them as a memorial to my sweet Ruth. I feel her still with us in my garden every day especially when the buttercups are in bloom in June.”

Second place goes to Kathleen Kissing’s photo of her father’s garden. She wrote, “My father Tony Kissing, 80 years old, hand-painted this Mary statue and has a beautiful hosta garden where the statue resides. The red impatiens really look pretty with his Mary Statue too.”
Honorable mention goes to Barbara Miller who photographed this visitor to her garden. “Mary even inspires animals, as the deer prays to her in her month of May!” she wrote.
Third place goes to this photo by Carol Walter of the garden her husband planted for her as a Mother’s Day present.
