Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains - Prayer Service for Peace10:00 am - 12:00 am

Saturday, August 15, 2015, 10 a.m.  All are invited to come pray for peace in a world that so desperately needs it.   World War II ended on this day in 1945.  Physician and scientist, Takashi Nagai will be especially remembered.  He looked at the horrible tragedy of the atomic bomb and through his faith saw this disaster as a sacrifice with hope and peace would be pursued in the future.  This saintly, Catholic man influenced a number of people both in Japan and in the world.  At the Prayer Service for Peace, a bronze statue of Takashi Nagai, commissioned by local artist Barbara Trauth will be unveiled.  Please contact Fr. Barry for more information at 513-421-5354.
