Miami University Neumann Center hosted a Eucharistic Procession

Miami University (Oxford, OH) Newman Center hosted a Eucharistic procession to the center of Miami’s Campus on November 6th.  It included students and a faculty member.  This event was part of the closing ceremony for the 40 hours devotion that weekend.

This simple procession is such a powerful event.  It gives witness to our faith, but even more importantly brings the Eucharistic presence of Jesus Christ’s Body to the center of campus to invoke his blessing.  This is very fitting too as our Campus Ministry motto this year is: Truly Present.  We are focused on Christ Jesus in the Eucharist as central to our faith, our need to be present to Him daily in prayer and adoration, and also our need to be truly present to those others around us and share the joy of the Gospel message.
