1) New Blue Ribbon Schools

St. Margaret of York School and St. Mary’s School in Hyde Park earned the designation of an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon School for 2023. The U.S. Department of Education recognized 353 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools this year and stated that National Blue Ribbon Schools serve as models of effective and innovative school practices for state and district educators and other schools throughout the nation.

2) Students Turn Art Upside Down
Summit Country Day
fourth grade students learned to make upside-down words when Beth Gully, author of The Other Side of Christmas book, visited mid-December. Students enjoyed the Christmas message through upside-down pictures, making the experience memorable and fun. They created five ambigram words and a Christmas card.

3) St. Gaspar Family Collaborates
In December, representatives from all six members of the St. Gaspar Family of Parishes gathered at Precious Blood Church with their pastor, Father Tony Fortman C.PP.S., for a special and fruitful meeting to schedule and plan for some of the most significant days of the Catholic Church calendar.

4) Giving Tuesday Celebration
University of Cincinnati Catholic Bearcat campus ministry at St. Monica-St. George in Cincinnati made Giving Tuesday count, raising $60,025! In response to hitting the $60,000 mark, Father Jeff Stephens and FOCUS missionary, Josh Bartz, agreed to get a little frosty and bleached their hair in celebration!
