Sister Anna Marie Stier

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 3 at the motherhouse chapel of the Sister of St. Francis of Oldenburg, Ind., for Sister Anna Marie Stier, who died Aug. 30 at St. Clare Hall. Sister Anna Marie, a native of Greensburg, Ind., was 100 years old and had been a Sister of St. Francis for 80 years.
Much of her religious life was spent in education as a teacher and principal. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati she served at St. Catharine and St. Aloysius schools in Cincinnati and at Our Lady of Mercy in Dayton. She also taught in Indiana and Missouri.
Sister Anna Marie retired in 1991.
She is survived by two sisters, Loretta Zoellner of Indianapolis and Margaret Feldman of Virginia.
