A Mass of Christian Burial for Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ Sister Nola Weiner was held July 14 in the Catherine Kasper Home chapel in Donaldson, Ind. Sister Nola, 98, died July 11 after an extended illness.
A native of Cincinnati, Sister Nola entered the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1932 and professed her first vows in 1935. Her primary ministries were as a healthcare administrator and rehabilitation coordinator. She spent most of her ministry working in hospitals in the Chicago area.
Interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Donaldson.
