Saturday, February 20, 2016, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (2nd day of Retreat) St. Vivian Church will be hosting a magnificent retreat. Cost is free will offering, so everyone can afford to come. Bishop Joe Binzer will give a talk at 9 am on Saturday morning, hear confessions at 10 am and celebrate Mass at 11 am. “All God’s Creatures” Franciscan Gathering at St. Vivian (Finneytown)
Franciscan Father Daniel Horan, a friar of the Holy Name Province and assistant professor of systematic theology and spirituality at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago will lead "All God's Creatures: Rethinking Franciscan Theology of Creation." The half-day event will explore "the profound resources rooted in the Franciscan theology for a radically innovative theology of of creation." St. Vivian 75th Anniversary Mass
Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr will celebrate a Mass to celebrate the 7th anniversary of St. Vivian Parish. A day of anniversary fun will follow for current and former parishioners, school families, school alumni and neighbors: tours of the church and school, a history display, face painting and children's games, and an ice cream social and prayer service at 3:30.
