 A Mass of Christian Burial for Marine Cpl. Paul Zanowick II was celebrated June 11 at Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Miamisburg. Cpl. Zanowick, 23, was killed June 3 in Afghanistan.


Zanowick was a Boy Scout and involved in both Catholic Youth Organization and high school track. He was a graduate 2006 graduate of Miamisburg High School, attended Sinclair Community College and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2008.


Zanowick is survived by his wife, Ryan Lynn, son Uriah, parents, Paul and Nanette Zanowick, and sister, Nicole.
