 A Mass of Christian Burial for Missionary of the Precious Blood Father Cornelius Fenton was celebrated May 12 at St. Charles Center in Carthagena. Father Fenton, 89, died May 8 at St. Charles.

A native of Beach Grove, Ind., Father Fenton entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1936 and was ordained in 1949. He was pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina; St. Peter Church in St. Peter; St. Joseph Church in St. Joseph; and St. Aloysius Church in Carthagena, and was associate pastor at the former St. Mark Church in Cincinnati. He also served at parishes in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He retired to St. Charles Center in 1993.

Interment was in St. Charles Cemetery.
