Michael Gable, director of the Mission Office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, was awarded  “Best Promotion of World Mission Sunday by a Propagation of the Faith director” by the Society of the Propagation of the Faith.

The award was made during the Catholic Media Convention in Anaheim May 27-29, a combined meeting of the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada and the Catholic Academy for Communications Arts Professionals.

Gable was honored for his promotional efforts in The Catholic Telegraph last October during World Mission Month. He shared the honor with Roseanne Fischer, director of the Propagation of the Faith office in St. Cloud, Minn.

In presenting the awards, Msgr. John Kozar, national director of the Propagation of the Faith, noted that “all these articles offer Catholics inspiring examples of the continuation of the Pentecost story today — of those telling the ‘Good News’ of Jesus to the poor and making a faith-filled difference in their lives. The Catholic press is to be commended for providing this witness to their readers.”
