1) All Souls Day Mass in Fort Recovery A
n All Souls Day Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Recovery before the sun rose on Nov. 2. Attendees were cold, but saw it as a beautiful sacrifice to make for the poor souls.


2) Creature Comforts
Students at St. Vincent Ferrer School, were able to get up close to chinchillas, hedgehogs, bearded dragons and even snakes thanks to a visit from Cool Critters Outreach. Sponsored by the school PTO, the event was an opportunity to learn more about God’s creatures and become more invested in creation.

3) 100 years in Madeira
In November St. Gertrude Church in Madeira celebrated the feast of St. Gertrude the Great and the parish’s centennial anniversary with a solemn Mass and procession. Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr was the main celebrant, while all the Dominican friars in residence at St. Gertrude Priory, and several visiting friars, concelebrated.

4) Sharing the Warmth
Volunteers at St. Leo the Great Church in North Fairmount collected coats to help keep 300 people in their community warm this winter. Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and School in Anderson Twp. and the St. Maximilian Church’s Knights of Columbus Council 11355 contributed to the collection.
