A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Mary Linus Bax was celebrated Feb. 8 at Salem Heights Chapel in Dayton. Sister Mary Linus, 93, died Feb. 3 at the Maria Joseph Center in Dayton. She was a Sister of the Precious Blood for 78 years.

A native of Koelztown, Mo., Sister Mary Linus taught grade school and high school students in Ohio, Indiana, North Dakota and Arizona for 31 years. She later taught adults biblical archeology and became the historian and archivist for her community. She retired to Salem Heights in 1990.

Sister Mary Linus is survived by her sisters, Catherine Tenney and Precious Blood Sister Marie Bax. Interment was in the Salem Heights cemetery.
