Sisters of Precious Blood host lecture series

DAYTON DEANERY — “Precious Blood Spirituality from an Old Testament Perspective” will be the topic of a Saturday, Jan. 16 program at Salem Heights in Dayton. The program is part of a yearlong lecture series hosted by the Sister of the Precious Blood in celebration of the 175th anniversary of the congregation’s founding.

The guest speaker is Sister Dianne Bergant, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes and professor of biblical studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Sister Dianne is a member and past president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America and has published numerous articles and books on Old Testament themes.

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested by Jan. 11 to arrange for seating and meals. The daylong program begins at 9 a.m., and will include morning and afternoon presentations and group interaction with lunch provided.
