They gathered to sing and pray as part of an outreach effort that will occur simultaneously in communities across the country. The 40-day effort, which runs through Nov. 1, will feature prayer, fasting, special programs, educational outreach and peaceful vigils at abortion clinics. Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk led a recitation of the rosary before the start of the rally.
