We are looking for individuals interested in becoming Statue Guardian pilgrims for this bicentennial event.

As a Statue Guardian Pilgrim, you will be committing to at least three full days of the pilgrimage route. You will be part of a core team that carries the statue and leads daily prayers. This is a first-come-first-serve sign up, with a maximum of 10 guardians per leg, and there will be a $25 non-refundable deposit, which includes water, t-shirt, and a commemorative gift.

Overnight accommodations:
Option 1: You will be housed by a parish.
Option 2: You will plan your own housing accommodations (whether returning home or staying at a hotel). You will also be responsible for your own transportation to and from the appropriate parish sites. The CNE/AOC is only responsible for returning Statue Guardians on their final day to the location of their parked cars from the first day of their leg.

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO BE A STATUE GUARDIAN?

In order to become a Statue Guardian Pilgrim, go to our website, Mary2021.org. There you will find a detailed explanation of the role of Statue Guardian, more information about the dates of each leg, and our Eventbrite registration link. At checkout, you will be asked to choose the leg or legs of the pilgrimage you wish to join. You may choose more than one in order to lengthen your pilgrimage experience. Go to MARY2021.ORG and click “Join In”.
