Brother Frank, a native of Columbus, entered the Society of Mary and professed first vows in 1926 at Mount St. John in Dayton, and professed his perpetual vows in 1931. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1929, and from Case Western Reserve with a bachelor’s degree in library science. He taught and served as librarian at the former Chaminade High School in Dayton; the former Purcell High School in Cincinnati; as well as Cathedral-Latin and St. Joseph high schools in Cleveland. In 1954, he came to the University of Dayton, where he served as librarian until 1973. After spending a year at St. Paul’s College in Australia, he returned to the University of Dayton as a librarian in the Marian Library until 2001.

Illness brought to him to Mercy Siena, where he continued to stay active through walks to Mass and daily prayer.
